Boy, that Scott Peterson is one lucky guy. Here he is, screwing around on his pregnant wife, telling the GF that he loves her and wants to spend the rest of his life with her, even tho he already has a wife. Then his wife is suddenly kidnapped by a satanic cult -- what are the odds? -- and now he is free. Of course, he didn't do the dastardly deed, but what a stroke of luck for him.
Geez, give me one small break!

I am dumbfounded by his luck too. Who would have thought that just when satanic cults had dropped from the radar screen one happens to reappear? Does anyone else find it a bit odd that the headline writer uses the word "floats" given the circumstances?

Consider this option: We only know about one of Scott's little affairs. Suppose he had many more. Suppose that one of the women he dated secretly was a Satanist. Opens up even more twists and turns doesn't it?
Another thought -- Modesto has become home for many people who work in San Francisco or Oakland or the 'Bay Area.' They buy homes there and commute to S.F. daily or stay in the city and may pay for a place to sleep three days a week. S.F. is world famous for its Satanists.
It just gets creepier and creepier.
