Freedland doesn't get all of his facts straight, but that's not the point. The point is that Ms. Coulter irritates the liberals so much their heads are about to explode. This article is anecdotal evidence.

Does anyone have a photo of the obviously PERFECT face and body of Freedland? Ann Coulter has them all on the run.

Whether it's America's shift to the right or the rise and rise of America's motor-mouth, talk-show culture, or the popular rebellion against establishment media or the emergence of a new Republican babe-ocracy, Ann Coulter represents it all.

Speaking of motormouths...

The left had a death-grip on this technique for about a generation and a half:
Response by filibuster ---- they could ignore the question, change the subject and attack their talking points target of the day by the simple expedient of running off at the mouth sans breath until time is up.
Very very effective.

Their realization that the opposition can use the technique just as well, and just as effectively, has reduced them to quivering jelly, cowering in the dark corner sucking their thumbs.

He he he he...
It's a win-win scenario now.
Having a "mute" button on interview shows now will force these losers to address issues and actually to respond to questions that they would rather duck.

I love it!!

Whether in the jeans and cowboy boots she's wearing today or one of the tiny skirts that accompanied her first TV appearances, she does not fit easily into Michael Moore's pantheon of Stupid White Men. Yet those whom Moore despises, Coulter reveres. She worships George Bush, Dick Cheney, Donald Rumsfeld. Her only beef with the Republican party is that it's not rightwing enough. Her grievance against the war on Iraq: that it missed out all the other Muslim countries that should be on America's target list. As she wrote in a now-notorious column that appeared on September 13 2001: "We should invade their countries, kill their leaders and convert them to Christianity."

Gotta love this girl.

That's true. And that says a lot. :-)

Ha ha ha ha!
You're not suggesting that their "sharpest" barely rises to below the level of articulate moron?

Are you?

I hate to agree with the Guardian (ARRGAHHHHHHH!) but I do. AC is a horrendous person in terms of swing voters or a role model for consistency. Throughout her lively book and in her appearances she uses EXACTLY the same tactics she lambasts liberals and Demcrats for doing. She provides "read meat" to some of us conservatives. Why? Because she lashes out effectively. But she is not consistent, does not practice the standards she demands of the left in her book, and is very predictable. She is not exactly the person to win over swing voters -- but is the person to cheeer on "GET EM ANN!' Nothing wrong with that....but I agree with the Guardian in a lot of this.

Faced with a TV anchor, she doesn't sit still or polite. She interrupts constantly, talking over her hosts, denying them the chance to butt into her own stream of argument. Some are reduced to blubbering jelly

May I say to Mr. Freeland, she does NOT interrupt...she just takes her turn to respond and MUST speak over the likes of some of the hosts or opponents as they try to cut her off. She will not have that. They are not messing with an amateur here.
Ann Coulter is brilliant, funny, and a very attractive young woman who knows of whom and what she speaks. So, when someone tries to cut her off she is gonna stand her ground and say what she wants to say. She's no fool. She's fantastic and her enemies know it.

Guns are our friends. God made man and woman; Colonel Colt made them equal

You really got love this girl. I guess that's why the stalker may not bother her as much as it would, say, Maureen Dowd.

Well, yes -- if you leave out the adjective "articulate."

I LOVED reading the article! It made me so proud of Ann! Go Ann, go!

The writer of course fails to mention all the wonderful names Republicans have been called and are still being called by "mainstream" leftist politicians. I think one of the reasons Ann is so popular with us is that we've been taking outrageous pot shots from the left for so many years while being gagged by political correctness. No more!

Jonathan Freedland confronts her and recognises a truth about the United States today: Bush isn't an aberration and Coulter expresses what many Americans think.

Did this actually write about himself in third person? What does that tell you about this meathead? Think he has an ego?

Raybbr talks about Jonathan Freedland. Huh?

Gloria Steinem a 'deeply ridiculous figure' who 'had to sleep' with a rich liberal to fund Ms magazine.

But it's true.

Was RFK assassin Sirhan Sirhan a Christian or Muslim? The writer uses this as an example of Coulter making a mistake.

Look beyond the trees, dude... there's a forest there.

That is exactly what makes her so effective.
She is a parody of the classic leftist technique, but she doesn't take herself seriously.

Take a good at her when she's on camera. She can hardly keep from busting out laughing at the irony of it. She is always in control. She is blessed with instant wit, even when on the defensive.
She does not take herself seriously: a lethal weapon in the right hands.

Contrast that with the shrill, painful rantings of the wicked-witch-of-the-west, and Ann's efectiveness becomes obvious.

As she wrote in a now-notorious column that appeared on September 13 2001: "We should invade their countries, kill their leaders and convert them to Christianity."

Infamous? Two days after The Outrage?

This milquetoast needs to read some of the suggestions on HERE, including mine, to see how people _REALLY_ felt.

It would be herbal tea and healing crystals for YEARS before the writer could ever sleep again- AND we were posting under the proper restraints for a Family Venu.

IMO, Ann's suggestion was an "Act of Grandmotherly Kindness", compared to what they actually did, and do, deserve.

We may not want to hear it, but if we are going to understand where the mightiest power on earth is heading, we may have to start listening.

What if we were to order these European countries to let their citizens carry guns and say what they want? That's actually kind of an interesting concept.

Awwww c'mon!

We have to admit that many of them actually learned to string coherent sentences together.

Now, contents and substance? An entirely different issue.

I find it interesting that this left-wing void finds it necessary to consume 6,000 words telling us how wrong Ann Coulter is. One more thing the Right has going for it is that its pundits tend to be more succinct. Of course, the Left makes a much larger target.

Yes, but how do you "feel" about it? LOL!
