Springfield Break ~ Gun Range after-action report!

Saturday, May 17th a group of Texas FReepers and family drove
across the state to New Braunfels to attend the Springfield Break
day at the Dietz Gun Range.

The weather was beautiful and we could not have had a better setting
in the Texas hill country for supporting our second ammendment rights
and enjoying the shooting. Those in attendance were:
Bigun, Texas Cowboy and his son, TheMom, RikaStrom, Stevie D 64,
PetroniDE, Eaker, humblegunner and his dad and Dix..
(As well as a couple of other folks whose names I didn't
get because I was focused more on shooting than compiling data for a thread!)

Texas Cowboy did the bulk of the planning for this event
and cooked us all a fine meal, so many thanks to him.

There were guns everywhere, even Eeevil assault rifles.

Everyone backed off a bit when Texas Cowboy first fired the .50 caliber.

Even Rika shot the .50, proving it is indeed just a girl's gun!

Some cattle roamed around the range...

Which had no relation at all to what was served afterward.

Well, my neighbors kind of frown on me for shooting that thing on Sunday morning, anyway.
They just don't believe me when I tell them those rampaging buffalo will take over the neigborhood if I don't kill 'em!

I have to tell you, though, that the best news of all was hearing that Dix was there with you. Our Lord is the very best and the power of FReeper prayer is *awesome.*

d*mn fine lookin' steaks. I miss my home State. Anybody shooting the Springfield Armory XD pistols? I just ordered one - they're hard to find up here in the midwest.
