I'm happy with Windows 2000. I've seen no compelling need to go with XP. Nothing in the Longhorn announcement is particularly compelling either. The new filesystem will take a few releases to be stable. I would wait until the 3rd party vendors have caught up on virus software, defrag and backup before making the transition.

Excellent advice.

I have still got Windows ME.

It's just what I wanted, a decent, stable Windows 95.

I am happy with that and I can't afford to keep up on all these latest releases. I follow on the heels of technology and buy what was hot yesterday..

I love windows 2K, it is an excellent and stable platform.

Gaming, excellent, office stuff, excellent, other software, excellent.

Have not had it crash on me yet, and that's a long time, almost 6 months.

Win98SE crashed at least every other day if left on.

New Windows, Bah, I'll wait until windows 2010 thank you very much.
