Seriously, it's a cultural difference that the principal should have taken care of ahead of time. I know highly respectable church ladies who dress their grandchildren in what your main-line WASP type person would consider unsuitably flashy, loud clothes. So what? It's not worth getting exercised about. The principal should be spending more time making sure these kids know how to speak Standard English.

I don't at all agree with this principal or what she said. ONLY that I believe it's possible that he looked pimp-like in his attire. I wouldn't judge someone by a colorful outfit unless they also had a cane, a limp and talked about how some b------ owed them some money.
