Just a few important things that are not known by lawmen, but yet Congress knows best:
We are using lie detectors to "enhance" our national security, do they work or is reliance on them false and harmful to national security?
Is ethanol a worthwhile product, worth subsidizing, or does an all-in energy balance, and all-in costing show that this is merely a payoff to Archer Daniels Midland for their political contributions?

Is ethanol a worthwhile product, worth subsidizing, or does an all-in energy balance, and all-in costing show that this is merely a payoff to Archer Daniels Midland for their political contributions?Don't forget what ethanol is made from. Many many farms are a part of this program, not just ADM. In fact there are other producers.
I have to laugh at what CA did. They forced the additive MTBE into gasoline and after a few years, found it fouling the water table. Now the oil companies are trying to fight off the lawsuits. CA went to the EPA for an exemption from having to add oxegenates to our gas( probably would be OK) but the ever vigilant EPA said no. Now CA will be the biggest user of ethanol. I would prefer to start drilling in Anwar and the Gulf and anywhere else there's oil, but of course that's just me. LOL
