Service ponies are indeed house-broken, and usually do the job of guide at least as well as dogs do. As stated in the article, Cuddles held on as long as she could, but a longer-than-usual delay before take off pushed her past her breaking point. Could have happened to anyone!
Cuddles is a real cutie, btw.
