"Did you see the one of the presents stacked in the corner near the fireplace?"LOL . Do I need to get my glasses changed or do you? I see what I believe to be some striped green/pinkish throw pillows on the right side of the fireplace and a white bookcase with pictures on it on the left side.
"I saw the kitchen floor, too. I can't tell if it is vinyl tiles, tiles of some other material, or sheet vinyl'
It looks to me like it could be an Armstrong vinyl flooring solid sheet but made to look like tiles. I kind of remember that look way back when.

vinyl flooring solid sheet but made to look like tiles. I think so, too. The sheen is pretty uniform across the tile pattern, usually those type ceramic tiles are slightly irregular or crowned. Also, the baseboard is the type that one would use with vinyl. Ceramic trim or cut tiles are generally used on the baseboard with a ceramic tile floor.

http://www.secondrunning.com/inside.jpg LOL! Spunky, I think we were looking at two different things! I was looking at the picture which has the huge headline over it("Inside Laci's House"), and there is an inset, and an arrow pointing from the inset (presents) to a larger view showing the presents in the larger pic of the room.
Solid sheet? Bummer--that would probably mean there were no cracks into which blood or other fluid could have seeped. Less evidence left!

I have the copy of the NE (I buy them for Grandma in the nursing home---honest!!! LOL). The NE said the kitchen floor is tiled.
