I saw the kitchen floor, too. I can't tell if it is vinyl tiles, tiles of some other material, or sheet vinyl. If it's tiles, there might be some residue between the tiles. Also, I remember reading that a person would have major trouble cleaning up anything that seeped under the kitchen cabinets.Great observation, Anse! Maybe MPD went in and took "tiles" out in the area they "suspect" something awful happened. We've gotta believe they had good evidence that something "violent" happened in that kitchen; otherwise, we've got to hang our hats on Amber, and personally, I can't get a warm, fuzzy feeling about her. Hope I'm wrong if that is the case.

Even if the floor is all from sheet vinyl, usually there'll be one "crack" where they had to cut and couldn't just roll out enough to cover the entire floor at once!
Plus, nowadays a lot of vinyl floors do not have a totally flat surface. The surface is irregular, to give more of a look of tiles. I'll bet things can get caught in those small irregularities.
