"I think we were looking at two different things!"

LOL! Yes we diffenitly were. There are two fireplaces in that house.

Did you also notice the mattress and box springs covering what I believe to be a BIG WINDOW? Evidently there are no curtains to draw there so Scott put them against the window so no one could look in or see a light on at night.

Even if it is a solid sheet of vinyl if it is the kind I think it is it has some up and down grooves where it would be hard to see if you have got all the blood mopped up.

What I thought looked a bit odd about the house layout was that the front door appears to open into the dining room (where the mattresses are up against the windows). Maybe there is a different front door but I couldn't see it in the NE pics.

Yes, I was thinking, also, that the surface might not be completely flat, b/c there are plenty of vinyl patterns with "rough" surfaces these days.

Thanks to those pictures, I finally got to see the mattress and box spring propped against the windows. When that was reported, the reporters always tried to make that sound like it was very odd. One of them said something like, "inexplicably, a mattress and box spring could be seen propped against a window."

Now that I've seen the pictures, it is obvious to me that Scott or someone put those there that way b/c they made an excellent screen for the large picture window. No doubt there were press people hanging around trying to shoot pictures through the windows.
