Why not? Gore lost his home state to Bush in 2000.

I wouldn't put too much stock in this. Massachusetts is a hard left state, and while Bush may be popular, there is a difference between being liked by a hard leftist, and that hard leftist voting for you. Those are two entirely different things.

Anybody checked the temp in Hell? Next post I expect to see is that Bush will beat the Rats in San Francisco.

Great news, but it is a LONG, LONG way to November.

Let's all agree that every post needs to have the preamble, "While it's still a long way off, and anything can happen . . . ." it is interesting that Bush is doing very well in NY; that he is polling very well among Hispanics in CA; and now this from Taxachusetts.

If the economy grows even slightly, the Dems could be looking at a massive blowout. Massive.

This tells me all that I need to know. After Teddy the swimmer gets his 11 Billion dollars of wastful spending & no one in this administration cares about the over-run projects in Boston, why wouldn't those liberals want GW. He's probably handed them more money than old Bubba.

Massachussets on the other hand is the most liberal state in the country.

I used to think that too. I suggest that NOW California has surpassed them. We have a "one-party" state that's "running" downhill fast. I'll bet if you work for the city of Boston you don't get FREE SEX CHANGES just a fringe benefit of working for the city of San Francisco. There are numerous examples of this madness popping up all over the state. This week one city passed a law making it illegal to comply with the Patriot Act. Illegal to turn in a terrorist, or tap their phone!

Taxes are being raised on almost everything they can think of, Davis INCREASED state spending by 36% in his first four years, creating a $38 billion deficit! That's more than all other states combined! Car tax is being doubled, sales tax in LA will be 9%, they're raising the top income tax rate from 9.3% to ?, they haven't set the new "soak the rich" tax rate.

They passed "paid family leave" last year for all employees. CA is becoming the most UNFRIENDLY business environment in the country. 2/3's of the children born in LA hospitals are born to illegal aliens. Our schools used to be #1(when I grew up) now we are #49 and getting worse and it has nothing to do with money. People die on the streets everyday, killed by random violence, but the LAPD are working under Federal consent decrees because they are supposidly so corrupt and racist, I don't know why anyone would even want the job. I guess you can tell by my rant I'm not a "happy camper" when it comes to the state I was born in, and may have to give up soon, ugh.

In his speech at the Coast Guard Academy this morning, Bush said that he was going to double the Peace Corps. This little announcement took away one of Kerry's campaign promises! And Pres. BushI (#41) is showing up everywhere #X42 is, thus dimming the spotlight for the needy one. I love the Bush system!!

The only thing missing for the republicans right now in california is that they wont take a stand on immigration.

LOLThey tried that. That's the last we've heard of them. That's EXACTLY WHY there's not many REPS left here. You know, "evil Reps" starving those cute little immigrant children.

By "dumbing down" our population we have destroyed this state.

What's wrong with the people in Massachusetts? Don't they know John Kerry served in Vietnam!?

Sure, the hard left knows, that's one of the reasons they like Howard Dean. The more Kerry mentions Vietnam, the worse the antiwar Rats feel about him, they're as ready to spit on Vietnam vets as they were thirty years ago. No doubt, some of those mush-heads have him confused with Bob Kerrey's Vietnam "atrocities".

People are catching up with Mr. Ketchup.

The only question now is how much kecthup money gets squandered on Kerry's campaign. I'd like to see Theresa get knock down a few pegs on the Forbes' list.

I agree. The only hope the Dems have is for the economy to continue to sputter (or for them to portray the economy as sputtering -- "...Worst economy in over 100 years!!!...") If the stockmarket rises (which it started to do about 6 weeks ago), unemployment drops, and a few other economic indicators look good, the Democrats are dead! And it won't be just a blow-out in the electoral college, but also big losses for them in the Senate and House.

It's pathetic that the only hope a major political party has is for bad things to happen in the country.
