How can the camerman, reporter, and producer not notice that they deputy was shooting at the ground? They didn't see the grass and dirt flying up right in front of their faces? Sorry CNN, soccer moms may be that stupid but most people aren't.
Having said that, allow me to propose a way for CNN to set the record straight and perhaps regain some of the credibility that it has lost over this.
1) Admit that the demo was flawed
2) Setup another demo, this time under the auspices of the NRA
3) CNN may have their own observers to check the NRA
4) First demonstrate the differences between a banned AW (as per the 1994 legislation) and it's legal conterpart, i.e., what are the mechanical, cosmetic, etc, differences
5) Finally, demonstrate the firearms using TWO sets of identical targets whether it be cinder blocks or bullet proof vests. Announce each weapon as it is fired and announce the target that it is being fired at
6) Compare and contrast
What do you think? Would they go for it or do you think they just want it to go away? Perhaps if the NRA hammers on CNN enough.
Anybody here an NRA guy that canget this floated? I know I would love to see it.
