In my dreams, the New York Times asks Bill Clinton, why, he took no action to close down the prison plasma program after he read this sentence in 1986:
"Due to some serious ruptures of the FDA regulations we were required to shut the center and subsequently suffered an international recall of the plasma."

Ahh, now it adds up. By the sheerest fluke, I went along when we retrieved apparently the last copy of the ILLP report (or rather, a summary of it) from a garage in a small town in Arkansas. Mike was packing (to put it mildly). It was scary -- especially to this outsider.
Let us not forget that the Institute for Law and Planning Policy had its own "mysterious" fire, destroying its files on the case. And that was in California, not Arkansas. These people had long arms.
