I think you're the one who misread the story. I read it the same way as Dave S.

Then you're both wrong. Read:

FBI agents... were showing students a sketch of a man they want to identify. The sketch is of a man..., a law student said Thursday... The student refused to say what race the man in the sketch appeared to be. The FBI is trying to identify the man... said the student, who did not recognize the man.

The student NEVER SAW the guy. The student DID NOT provide any description of a person to the FBI... He is NOT a material witness. He simply described for a reporter the sketch that the FBI is showing around campus.

By the way, Dave S, in post #36 you are awfully presumptuous about my thoughts and intentions, evidently based on one pretty neutral (and factually accurate) 6-word statement by me on this entire thread.

but someone did see this person, "walking quickly" as I heard it from that building? i wonder if they have any webcams or security cameras setup around that campus, you would think they would?

You got me. I mistook your six words to be that the student was refusing to tell the police. I missed the part about the police were showing the sketch. Sorry. I was clearly wrong.
