Trivasonno show should be interesting Friday! Hopefully he saves some of it for the 5:00 hour. I'm looking forward to it.

Carmelo in Detroit! SWEET! Pretty cool that LeBron will stay in his home state. Other than that, I find the entire LeBron fawning/attention the wrong message to send to your men...

Your point is well taken. Z has the makings of a fair center but his stats this year were PPG 17.2 and RPG 7.5 will hardly keep Shaq awake nights. Z Ranks #10 in the NBA in Blocks Per Game(1.88) Ranks #14 in the NBA in Free Throws(400.0)
Ranks #14 in the NBA in Free Throw Attempts(512.0) Ranks #11 in the NBA in Offensive Rebounds(240.0)
Ranks #8 in the NBA in Offensive Rebounds Per Game(3.0) Ranks #11 in the NBA in Blocks(152.0)
Ranks #19 in the NBA in Field-Goal Attempts Per 48 Minutes(22.14) Ranks #7 in the NBA in Free Throws Per 48 Minutes(7.89)
Ranks #6 in the NBA in Free Throw Attempts Per 48 Minutes(10.11) Ranks #15 in the NBA in Offensive Rebounds Per 48 Minutes(4.7)
Ranks #14 in the NBA in Blocks Per 48 Minutes(3.0) Ranks #12 in the NBA in Points Per 48 Minutes(27.4)
Ranks #14 in the NBA in Turnovers Per 48 Minutes(4.14)

You don't have the foggiest idea about this kid or his background. Have you even seen him play?
He does NOT have an "it's all about me" attitude, and if you had heard him over the past two years, read articles about him, or seen his great passing skills and devotion to his high school teammates, you wouldn't make such ignorant, stereotypical and offensive remarks.
And you aren't the first to rock the boat on this thread; seems like there are a lot of people with the attitude that this is just another n***** from the 'hood. The shots about trouble he or his family might have in the future are about as blatantly racist as anything I've ever seem on this forum.
He's a good kid. Too bad the haters have already made up their minds about him. As a lifelong suffering Cavs fan, I'm thrilled to have him on our team.

He was partying with his high school teammates. What's wrong with that?

Kenny Roda's forgotten more about sports than Trivia knows on a good day. (and yes he still knows more).

To be fair, didn't Cleveland have pretty good chances of getting the #1 pick? Anyway, I don't really follow basketball and I know the NBA doesn't exactly have a very good track record. However, in the sports world, every coincidence or strange occurence has someome saying "fix".

Black people have problems just like white people. Predicting LeBron is going to have problems is only racist if his blackness is the reason. I think he's going to have problems because he hasn't had time to season his skills against equal players. Add to that the fact that he's going to be joining a league often described as the world's largest traveling brothel, the NBA is a true test of a person's inner character not many 18 year olds have had an opportunity to develop much. He might make it, I hope he does, I seriously doubt he will.

Dawkins as a player. And numerous others. As a player. Did you miss the point of my comment? I guess so.
To: byteback
Akron is in Ohio? Cleveland is in Ohio? I smell a fix! The NBA is all about TV revenue. If the fix was in he would have gone to New York or Chicago in my opinion.

You are 100% right. There are comments being made on this thread that would not exist if LeBron were a 14y/o Chinese violin player signing to play with the Boston Pops.
Hidden under the racism runs a thick streak of jealousy. Some people who have worked their whole lives will never earn what this kid pocketed only today, with the 10M signing bonus.
I say, leave the class envy to the Liberals.

Z is no Shaq, heck few are.
Plus we never know when Z is going to break a foot again. He's too big for his feet.
To: You Dirty Rats
Oh, gee. I see your a Cavs fan. I am sure that has nothing to do with any bias in your comment.
How selfish.
Yes, I have listened to his comments, read about him, and watched for the last 2 to 3 years.
And if all you want from him is for him to play great to help the Cavs at any expense, then you're as selfish and self centered as he is.
To: discostu
It seems the person you replied to is playing the race card. Neither you nor I ever mentioned skin color as being a factor. Interesting, eh?
To: PhiKapMom
The Cavs had a 22.5% chance.
In the entire history of the lottery the Cavs never picked higher than their position; in other words, they never got lucky.
This year they tied for the worst record in the NBA and had as good a chance to pick #1 as Denver and better than the other teams.
Our owner lost his eyesight as an adult.
Yet we get lucky ONCE and everyone thinks there is a fix in.
Whatever.
