Cavs salary is chump change compared to Lebron's $100,000,000 (7 year) contract with Nike!
To: E Rocc
Some very sweet luck for the Cavs and LeBron.

This seems like an awfully big step for an 18 year old to go from high school right into the NBA.
That's also a lot of money for a kid.
Hopefully he'll have good guidance from his family and have a smart coach.
Anyway, good luck to him!

OK... Place your bets now for the topic that will come up after the narrator says:
"Despite the challenges, his biggest test didn't come until the next year... when we return on 'LeBron James - Behind the Glory' ".
Will it be:
A.) Death of a close family member.
B.) Car accident.
C.) Drug possession charges.
D.) Caught with a hooker.
E.) Other

I agree. I don't wish ill will upon anyone, but Len Bias did come to mind when I first saw this kid.

Finding out that hype doesn't give you NBA caliber skills.
I'm thuroughly unconvinced LeBron has what it takes.

I guess I'll be the first to rock the boat on this one:
Reminds me of someone who I watched locally in High School named Daryl "Moose" Dawkins. He (LeBron) has a worse attitude; it's "all about me". IMO these guys don't handle the pressure well, they haven't had the character and integrity development that makes great players, great. If he does develop into a "team player", it will be a long, hard road. If he continues on the self-centered road (like Kobe, Shaq), hopefully he can team up with, and work with others like him (like Shaq and Kobe have) in order to survive. But I think he won't. Either injury, pressure, or being overrated, IMO this is the beginning of the end.
Flame away. I have my asbestos underwear on.

I'm thuroughly unconvinced LeBron has what it takes. And I'm sure the legal department at Nike has clauses in the contract that if LeBron fails (in any way) the contract is null and void!

Seen Daryl Dawkins lately?
He is currently a successful college coach who in his spare time also works with poor children.
Your point?
