These Democrats know the American people believe that Mr. Bush can protect them against terrorism better and more forcefully than the Democrats, and that protecting the homeland trumps economic issues or any other wedge issue the Democratic nominee may come up with.
Hence the reason that many dims are trying to convince their one or two followers that Bush knew something about 9-11 before it happened. And to me, that is a vicious smear.

Thanks for the ping. There is no doubt about it. While certainly not perfect, who among us is, Bush is the best bet. The tax plan will kick in and things will improve in the economy. The war on terror will continue and many Americans can continue to live as though there is no war going on at all. When have we ever been able to say that?
