Strawberries don't start in Indiana until June. I didn't realize they were earlier in Illinois.
But you must admit, it is hard to beat the effectiveness of a very large, overripe Beefsteak tomato!

It's not so much the harangue against the war, but the very, very bad taste to not give the graduates a speech that was about them, their hard work and accomplishment and their futures Tom Clancy spoke at my commencement years ago, and hit it out of the park. Class act. Humorous, motivating, and not too long. We gave him a standing 'O'.

The college president should be proud that the graduates have learned to think for themselves. Something tells me that the pres and lib'rals everywhere are afraid--very afraid.
Conservatives across the country are fed up with the patronizing and outright rude attitude from the left. Frankly, they're tired of being called pieces of s--t and they're starting to do something about it. I'm waiting for the 'second shot heard 'round the world/country', that defining moment when conservatives rise up and take the country back. It may have already happened (this incident may be it) and it's too early to tell, but the mood amongst conservatives is that it's time to take action.

You must be in the northern part of Indiana.
"But you must admit, it is hard to beat the effectiveness of a very large, overripe Beefsteak tomato!"
Unless you live in Texas, especially Austin and south of that, commencement takes place long before Tomato season. While both Austin (UT-Austin) and College Station (Texas A&M) could employ beefstakes, UT-Austin is too leftist, and TAMU is too disciplined.

Good "review" of the speech.
One thing bothers me, when I see Skinheads and Aryans and KKK and the like portrayed as the extreme political right. It ain't so.
They're racist fascists, which makes'em leftist in my book. "Racial integrity" and group identity is not a right wing value, it's a left wing value. I kinda feel like they're lumped in with conservatives mistakenly because they resemble, in manner of speech and appearance, like the religious right. But that's a cover purposely cultivated.

Read this twice before convulsing with laughter.
Thanks!
