BERLIN (Reuters) - A German mother was fined 100 euros ($116.9) because her eight-year-old daughter refused to open her mouth for the school dentist.
"The dentist wanted to check her teeth, but the girl was afraid and refused to open her mouth. So the dentist reported her," a court spokesman in the central town of Wernigerode said on Thursday.
Local authorities imposed the fine on the mother and the court upheld that decision. The mother has agreed to pay the fine.

Some people here are probably OK with this. This is what I don't want America to become.

This is the kind of
Quatsch we Americans get so amused with.
While I can believe that a bureaucrat would invent such a fine, and while I believe that someone could be evil enough to report on a fellow citizen, I can't believe a free individual would actually agree to pay such a ridiculously fascistic fine.

So the dentist reported her. . ."Reported her to whom? Reported her for what?
Folks, we are within spitting distance of a very grim future unless Euro-Socialsim is discredtied and rolled back.

This is my childhood dentist:

My parents would've gone broke if they had to pay everytime I refused to open my mouth.

I agree with you. And I think we have a chance to stop it, but we MUST keep nipping at their heels. The longer they are displayed to the public, the more likely the public will be to see the corruption and BS.

The dentist shouldn't have asked her "Is it safe?"

(1) Those guys are a public nuisance - women often have to walk through groups of these idle layabouts who sit around drinking cups of cheap liquor and making lewd comments.
It can be very menacing and it's a quality of life issue.
(2) Legitimate businessmen lose thousands of dollars a year to these jerks who rip off milk crates.
Very different situation. You'll get fined in Germany for calling someone an a**hole if they bump into you on the street and you can get fined for hundreds of euros if you cross against the light on a street which is empty of cars.
Those fines aren't my cup of tea, but they're understandable.
But fining someone because their kid is afraid of the dentist?

I'm not ok with this. Why not fine the dentist for lacking bedside manners?
Kids still have natural instincts at 8 years old. What if this child was afraid of THIS dentist? Maybe the child had good reason to be afraid.

What the &$%#%$&#%^!!!!! This is crazy! I was afraid of the dentist when I was little, I would kick and cry and scream. They tried giving me a sedative and it didn't work on me at all, the same sedative knocked my sister OUT! I also kicked when they gave me a shot in the butt! I had terrible reactions to penicillin shots and threw a fit when they gave me additional shots. They didn't realize I was allergic to it. I almost died in college, from allergic reaction to penicillin. My son almost died from allergic reaction to Ceclor a few years ago.... Maybe sometimes the kicking and screaming, or even the refusal to open the mouth, is because the child some how "knows" he is allergic to something used in the exam or treatment. May be the child had "bad vibes" about the oral exam. Maybe he or she is allergic to the latex gloves the examiner is using. That is a common but severe allergy.
I don't let the schools examine my kids. We have doctors and dentists for that!
No wonder in a recent poll Euros are unhappy with their current SOCIALIST COMMUNIST life and Americans are HAPPY with theirs!

The difference between Americans and Europeans is in our genes. Our ancestors abhorred tyranny and fled. Theirs didn't.

The Oklahoma City Public Schools hired a dentist who went from kid to kid to kid looking at their teeth. I didn't get a chance to "consent" to this--they just did it. No gloves, no handwashing between kids, fingers and instruments put into the kids mouths, notes sent home to the kids whose teeth showed signs of neglect. They had plenty such kids--mine weren't among them. I didn't find out about it until weeks after it happened. My kids are now in a private school, and that's one of the many reasons why.
That said--there are lots of parents out there who wouldn't have a clue that their children ought to see a dentist, if they weren't pressured by The State to take care of it. Good luck getting course reversed on this. Things are going downhill fast in many ways.

She rocks me like the rock of ages
And loves me
She love me, love me, love me, love me
