I don't know the circumstances surrounding the picture. I used it as an example that serious things can happen when a person gets careless with the facts in reloading.
It's completely possible there was a barrel obstruction but that's only an educated guess.

Just making an observation. With the way the barrel is blown. But then the stock is also blown off pretty good.
Never have reloaded rifle rounds. Used to do shotgun and pistol though. Always followed the book. And always doubled checked the powder charge. 8`!)
BTW: A .375 H&H is the biggest thing I've ever shot. Think I'll stick with my Garand's and 03A3's.
