Lap 50: Newman loses lead to Tony Stewart after leading first 49 laps from the pole

Lap 51: First green-flag pit stops begin

Lap 59: Tony Stewart takes lead during green-flag stops

Lap 87: 28 of the 43 cars remain on the lead lap

Lap 99: Tony Stewart holds a three-second lead over Kurt Busch
