Whatever the Democrats accuse the Republicans of doing are the very things that they, themselves: a) Have done in the past, b) Are now doing, c) Plan on doing in the future or, d) All of the above.

Exactly. When you judge both parties equally, the Dems always come up short.

I believe that is an old Chinese curse, not simply an adage.

Thanks. One of the reasons I posted this was to get corrections before sending it to the local papers. I doubt if they will use it though, because of the length. But I will try anyway.

They say they have a problem with Iraqi civilian casualties during the war. And I'd think they were sincere, except they have no problem with the deaths of forty million American children. But even then I'd be being too naive.

Thanks for the addition. Another reason to post this was to see what additional comments people would come up with. I did try to cover abortion, but I may have not have to vague. Yours is clearer.

Michael, it wasn't long enough IMO.

Thank you. When dealing with Democratic hypocracy there is no shortage of material, that is for certain.

Not to be a republican at twenty is proof of want of heart; to be one at thirty is proof of want of head. -Francois Guisot (1787-1874) </>

Thanks for posting that quote. I have used Cyber Nation as my source of quotes. The Churchill quote that Deadhead gave (also one of my favs) shows no attribution to Churchill, at that site. This could explain why. The two quotes have the same meaning, but Churchills is updated to suit modern times.

Excellent! Thanks for the wonderful essay. Am sending it to my Democrat relatives to drive them nuts.

We may be able to pick our friends, but we can't pick our relatives! I am complemented that you liked it enough to try to piss off a few Democrats.

Let me know isf any of them come back with an intelligent retort.

BTW, if you've got a ping list, please place my name on it. Thanks

I am still learning the rules and such here at FR, and do not have a list nor how to create one. But I am complemented that you wanted me to add you to such a list.

Bump. Thanks for the heads up.

I always enjoy reading your comments, these are right on the money, as usual.

Give me a ping whenever you post something.

I hope the time spent with your returning son was enjoyable.

Your the second person to ask to be added to my 'ping list.' I think two would qualify for a 'Ping List'? A one person Ping list just did not seem right. Thanks. I hope the time spent with your returning son was enjoyable

Thanks again for he kindness. Yes, it was great to have him back, with things returning to normal: Him sleeping until noon and staying with his girl friend most evenings! We did not see as much of him was we would have liked, but it was a big comfort to have him here. Three days in Seattle with him though was great.
