This is probably a false alarm, but on Terror Alert Orange, it is still a concern.

Large sporting events where the fans are jammed in like sardines are extremely vulnerable.
No matter what the trigger event, if a panic breaks out, 100s or 1000s could die jammed in exits and pushed from upper decks.

A Dallas police officer looks around an empty American Airlines Center, after fans were evacuated following a minor kitchen fire, prior to the start of Game 4 of the NBA Western Conference Finals in Dallas, May 25, 2003. No injuries were reported although the start of the game was delayed. REUTERS/Jeff Mitchell (news)

Of course they said it was a false alarm.......
(I have been watching the Discovery Channel shows on Special Ops and covet mission stuff earlier in the day. Just fuel for a marginally paranoid mind.)

Damn. I needed that shower too. Please ping me next time something is breaking. I'm really starting to stink.

If there was in fact a fire, how can that be charcaterized as a "false alarm"?
To: hole_n_one
charcaterized s/b spelled another way

Nothing like leaving a hotdog in the broiler too long to ruin the day for 25000 people.

I took the hubby to a game on March 4th. It was a spook time during the Spring Break War, and I was not entirely comfortable. Our seats were way up there and it was a long way back to our home in the country.
(It was a great game - Maverics beat the Nets. I think this is a preview of the NBA finals.)

Dallas will still win anyway.
GO DIRK!!!
To: myprecious
Tonight's game is a "must win" game for Dallas.

GO DIRK!!! Novitzki twisted a knee, and will be out for the remainder of this series.
Not good for the Mavs.

Gotta keep up those 3 pointers to make up for Dirk sitting on the sidelines!

Well 25,000 people filed out without panic or any injuries....Kudos to cool citizens and the LEO's.
