Ask 'ask jeeves' this question: how many soldiers had to die for you nerds to develop that second-rate A.I. software?

Fired off an email to comments@google.com on the Memorial Day snub and just received this reply.

Thank you for your note.

We enjoy celebrating holidays at Google and are sorry that we missed one that's special to you. As you may imagine, it is difficult for us to choose which holidays to celebrate on the site. We have a long list of international holidays that we would like to celebrate in the future, along with United States specific holidays. We have to balance this rotating calendar with the need to maintain the consistency of the original Google homepage as well.

Some holidays that we have not celebrated in the past will be rotated into our holiday doodles for future years. Please remember you can visit any of our doodles at http://www.google.com/holidaylogos.html .

Regards,
The Google Team

Well, their answer SUCKS!!

Honoring American' sacrifices is not as popular as cinco de mayo... I wonder how many Mexicans are online on google as opposed to the number of AMERICANS who died for the freedom of the WHOLE world during WWII.
