If true this could deal a fatal blow to the Tenet CIA.

I wonder if the Israeli government will renew its request that Pollard be freed. Netanyahu was rebuffed by Clinton after Tenet threatened to resign over Pollard's release. Maybe now we know why it was such a serious issue.

Tenet still swears to this day, that what Pollard did, cost american agents there lives, Woosley is in the same boat. They have been adamant about opposing Pollard ever being released (And Woosley is hardley anti-semetic, his pro-israeli views are well known). William Session wishes that Pollard had been executed, the rage in him runs so deep. I'm inclined to believe that Pollard is guilty, no matter what anyone says, bottom line, he gave documents to a foreign country, when he took an oath to serve this one.

His loyalty should have been to the United States of America, he was given orders, he ignored them, he did commit treason, he is guilty. Those are the facts, everything else is window dressing.

It's bollocks. Pollard was never accused of giving up spies. What he was accused of -- What he DID -- was give up technical means of intelligence gathering.

He is where he belongs, and the traitor doesn't belong anywhere else. I can see where people whose loyalty is to Israel and not the USA don't see him as a traitor. But Americans (and this includes many American Jews) who know what he did don't care for the guy.

Not quite. Think Panama, and Noriega.
