This priest is getting off lightly. One year for each offense is not much more than a slap on the wrist. He just made the mistake of committing 20 offenses. Hopefully he'll die in prison.
This may help the roman catholic church reform itself, but I doubt it.
This is just the 20 he copped to. I wonder how many more out there too ashamed to come forwared?
Interesting also the note about laws changing... so 20 years ago this would have netted him 400 years and now the MAXIMUM for abusing 21 little children is 20 years, with possiblitity of parole in 1 month?
And we wonder why crime is rampant.
