The Ramones are a 70s band. Talking Heads don't seem to be keping very much fame after breakup. The Beastie Boys couldn't even restart, they were a true one hit wonder.

Other than that you're spot on.

The Ramones were on the cusp of the 1980's, but you may be right.

The Talking Heads are still played on the radio as much as Floyd or the Stones, and musically speaking, put out some pretty innovative music on par with the "Big 4".

The Beastie's are most certainly not a one-hit wonder, and are actually pretty similar to Floyd. Their albums might not come too often, but there isn't a weak one in the bunch.

Huh? Not true. "Licensed to Ill" was ground-breaking. Their second album, and best effort, "Paul's Boutique" is one of the best albums of the 80s and 90s. Their three follow-up efforts have all been solid and shown their growth as a unique cross between rock and hip-hop.

Of course, I'm NOT equating the B-Boys and Zeppelin...but I do think the B-Boys are innovators and their music will last. In fact, the evidence is already in...both their old and new stuff gets regular airplay on rock and alterna-rock stations, and "Paul's" frequently shows up on retrospective "best of" album lists ...
