Wow. PETA is going to be REAL upset now. And, all in an effort to protect "human lives". What is the world coming to?

The Chicoms need to have scapegoats. Can't have the people of China suspecting an accident in the biowar program, can they?

Why does this shock people. They, as a nation, have tortured killed and basically eradicated people by the millions. Their callousness is a general disregard for life in general. This is a suprise? At least in America we kill millions of lives in a doctors office where it is not so brazen and obvious.

A REALLY Good Dog, is one sauted lightly in olive oil with a hint of garlic and red wine...

Snapshot two

Nanjing's "Dog-Beating Corps" has come to the home of an elderly resident as a result of complaints from his neighbors. The man's neighbors informed the group that the man's trash had a "bad odor" to it. Hence, "with the blessings of the local police", the Dog-Beating Corps forces its way into the elderly man's home and bludgeons the eight stray dogs that the man has been caring for until they are all dead and then clean up the mess. The vast majority of the man's neighbors welcome this action and some even praise it.

Heh. Don't try this one in the US, kiddies.

Chasing and beating a dog to death that you actually believe to be diseased has got to be the messiest, and therefore riskiest way to do it. This is sadism by kids, and panic by others, but to call it disease control is ludicrous.

This works for me. When my black Labrador, (Baxter) misbehaves, I always tell him that I will send him to China.

The threat seems to work! The word has gotten around in the dog gossip parlance.

I am surprised they have any dogs to kill, since they seem to be eating them all the time.

Well said.

I fail to see how anyone can consider this "funny".

BTW: There is not a shred of evidence that dogs (or cats) can carry the SARS virus. The civet "cat" is NOT a cat, nor is the racoon "dog" a dog.

For that matter, it is not proven that these animals carry the version of SARS that is fatal to humans. The strain found in these animals in China was different than the SARS found in humans. It is too soon to know if that strain is harmful in people.

My Dad, a decorated WWII vet, once told me that the only clean Asians were the Japanese. He said the Chinese were nasty. I guess he was right. I'd like to chase those idiots and beat them with sticks for hurting God's creatures.

LOL. Well, I thought it was relevant. A lot of overreaction is going to take place with the disease.

All cultures are "equal" none are better than others, only different. If you believe any one culture to be "better" than another you have commited the crime of "ethnocentrist thought". If culture A makes a habit of blowing snot all over the place while gleefuly beating animals to death and culture B has the curious habit of daily bathing, and spending billions per year on SPCA's, these cultures are equal. It's true, I took an Anthropology course recently and that's what I learned, got an A.

I too used to have bouts of "ethnocentrist thought", I was re-educated so now I know better...

If culture C loves music, marching, invading neighboring countries, and sending people to death camps, is that culture equal too? What about culture D, which invades neighbors, enslaves them, and practises human sacrifice on them?

I had the very same questions, puzzling as it may seem special cases are made for certain cultures. These are the really bad cultures. My attempt to get the list of the acceptably judged cultures and the criteria earned me a special talk.

ROFL. The Bible teaches people how to live. It is really the best guide for living that I know of. Every culture I have ever seen that follows what it teaches turns out pretty well okay.
