Depends on the kind of pickup. Was it a domestic pickup. Was it a union made pickup? Did it have seats made by killing a poor cow? Did it have a V-8, or an economical, non polluting, gas saving gutless six? What color was the truck (color is a major issue for liberals)?
All of these issues will be important to democratic special interest groups.
