So do I and I still wash dishes in the sink. You don't stop washing a few dishes in the sink just because you get a dishwasher.

Yes, but with a dishwasher (and a maid) would you wash so many dishes in the sink that you felt you should take off your rings? I do the same thing--use dishwasher, but wash some things in the sink, but I don't have marathon dishwashing sessions where I have to soak loads of dishes in the sink, so I never see the necessity of removing rings b/f washing a dish or two.
