End stage emphysema does require continuous O2 therapy, while during acute exacerbation of chronic bronchitis and emphysema, O2 therapy is necessary to avoid death from hypoxia. It is not always needed on a continuous basis.

How many hours a day is a min. base line though?
In the case, neuro damage, that we use it is prescribed for 12 hrs. on 12 off.
What is the standard for lung disorders?
