First of all thank you all so much for your wonderful prayers. Dave please post this at Free Republic if you don't mind. I have never posted there but I want those great prayer warriors to have an update too.
Rachel called me about 6:30 this morning and they wanted her there asap because they said Jakobe was worse. We went and prayed with him and stayed most of the day. His heart rate was only in the 90's last night and today it has finally reached normal at 161. His blood is still not functioning as well as it should and he needs to urinate much more than he has been so the potassium doesn't build up in his blood, and his blood pressure and oxygen levels still need to go up although his oxygen is not too bad.
Please pray that he will be able to urinate a lot more frequently, that is what his Dad said is most urgent right now. I have printed your prayers, and the prayers at Free Republic, out and will be taking them to Rachel and Dustin for encouragement, I know it will mean so much to them.
thanks and God Bless and may the Gracious Lord meet all of your needs as well.
Tammy
Please, please, please make sure he is getting good, no - the best medical care. Sadly, that is not automatic these days.
This is known from my experience. Ask the questions - Why is he not peeing? I have not heard that kidney failure is a problem with preemies. Maybe they have not figured out how to push fluids into him.
Ask questions.
Keep us updated.

Jakobe is not doing well. His little Kidneys don't want to function like they should and he has severe edema (sp?). If he was older they would do dialysis but he is too small. Please continue to pray and especially that his Kidneys would begin to work. If they would start working right then everything else is pretty good and he will have a good chance of making it
. thanks and God Bless
, Please continue to pray for Dustin and Rachel too, they are both physically and emotionally drained.

Or maybe not so sad, but little Jakobe is with Jesus. He went home around 2:30 this afternoon. Please keep Rachel and Dustin and the family in prayer. They are trying to be strong but it is very hard for them.
thank you for all of your prayers,
God Bless
Tammy
