When my father pass away, a friend sent this picture to me. I look at it often and remember that many great people turned to pray in times of trouble and sorrow.

Urgent Prayer request for baby Jakobe

A friend of mine from church had her baby two months pre-mature this morning and he is fighting for his life.
Her placenta somehow came apart from her uterus (sp?) and the baby was not getting any blood or oxygen for quite a while, they did an emergency C-section to save him. They have done two brain scans and Praise the Lord he doesn't have any brain damage, but one of the valves in his heart hasn't closed like it is supposed to and he is breathing is through a respirator. His heart rate should be around 150-160 but is only around 96-133. He weighs 4 1/2 pounds and is so precious. I put a couple of pictures up online for those of you who want a face to go with your prayer.
They said if he makes it through the first 72 hours he has a good chance. He was born at 40 a.m this morning, so please keep praying. Please pray for his mother Rachel and his Father Dustin as well. They are both Christians and are standing in faith and trying to be really strong but the baby is in a different hospital than Rachel and she can't leave yet so it is very hard on her and Dustin is trying to hold everyone together and really needs strength and rest.
I know you guys are warriors in prayer so please pray.

We know You are holding little Jakobe in Your arms and are caring for him. He is Your child---Your precious creation. We ask You, Father, to touch his tiny heart and to make it function properly. Breathe life and strength into his body and bless him with health. Father, let Your peace surround Rachel and Dustin. Help them to know that nothing is too difficult for You. We commit all this to You, Lord, believing in Your desire for this baby to be restored to complete health. In the Name of Jesus Christ, our Great Physician, Amen.

As all newborns are. Four pounds birth weight is below optimm, but He will be fine, if the hospital know their stuff.
(From many experiences, one needs to stay on top of things to make sure one's loved ones are getting proper care.)

Jakobe was knit together in his mother's womb, was fearfully and wonderfully made. May the Lord Himself close the valve in his heart.
