Hi everyone. My 78 year old mother fell this past week, severely breaking her hip at the femural head (where the abductor muscles attach) and her shoulder in two places. They did surgery (rod and pins) for the hip, but are slinging and swathing the arm/shoulder. Your prayers would be greatly appreciated.

Rick is an old friend who was there for me when my husband died. He even installed some garage shelving for me when I moved into my condo. Last week, the pneumonia and bronchitis got him and he was admitted to the hospital. Hospice stepped into the picture and took all the meds away because they thought he was going to die. While in route to California on Tuesday Yorkie, Tiapam and Cardhu were in a horrible one car accident near Kingman, AZ. Yorkie was airlifted to Las Vegas while two FReepers were called home. Cardhu and Tiapam died at the scene. Tiapam has been a Freeper since December, 2009; Cardhu has been a Freeper since July, 2005. Please remember them in your prayers. This is an urgent prayer request for a family who has suffered a tragic event. Last night this family (friends of mine) had their house burn down while they slept. One died, four others are in burn centers (one with burns over 40% of body) and one treated and released. Prayer for speedy recovery and comfort for their loss at Christmas time.

My Blood Dad is dying in great pain. He has broken his hip the 3rd time. His vitals are too poor to operate. They don't even know if they can move him at all due to the great pain. In February of this year my older brother went to the hospital due to severe pain and swelling in one leg. Those doctors could not figure out what was causing the pain and swelling, so they sent him home to see his own doctor. His doctor could not figure out the problem either; mean while his other leg started hurting. He was sent to Houston for yet another set of test; still no results. His doctor and the doctors in Houston tried different treatments (medicine) to treat his pain. By this time he has used up his vacation, sick leave...

I was so sad to open an email this morning from pro-life activist Randall Terry: Dear Friend. Yesterday morning, at approximately 7 am eastern (11/30/2011), my 31 year old son, Jamiel Terry [pictured above], was killed in a head on collision. The three passengers in the other car were injured in varying degrees, but the police told me they will all be ok. We are all in a state of shock, and unthinkable grief. Please include my sister, Barbara, in prayers. She has Stage IV (breast) cancer and this last month has been a struggle with what seemed like outside issues from a flu shot, bronchitis, etc. However, tomorrow (Thursday the 1st) she is to hear results from her latest PET scan (to monitor progress of cancer) and she got wind today that it might not be good, so she is very scared, as well as still very sick. Please pray for my wife. She was carrying a computer CPU box, slipped and fell forward, landing on the box. Her fingers took the shock as she drove them into the ground with all her weight on the box. She ended up with her right middle finger almost completely severed with lower half of joint destroyed and much gravel and organic debris imbedded. Please pray that no infection would take hold. Lightman's wife Jan suffered a TIA ("mini-stroke") during church service Sunday. She was taken to the hospital for tests and seems to have recovered functionality, but is still suffering from weakness on her right side. Please offer up whatever prayers you can for Jan, lightman and their family!

I am asking for prayers for my mom. She is potentially in physical danger until Thursday. She's dong what she can to get out of it by then, will have some friends over some of the time. A humble prayer request for my father, Dick. He was treated for a tumor obstruction in his bladder earlier this year. The cancer spread elsewhere and his lone kidney doesn't work well. He has started some pain management and is sleeping. He did eat breakfast and lunch today but still needs more nurishment. He was raised Catholic but my mom is Protestant and we regularly attended services alternately wherever we lived. Prayer request for my dear husband (laurens pawpaw) who has been diagnosed with stage iv omental carcinoma. This is my first thread so please overlook any mistakes. I've just learned that friends of our family has a 4 year old daughter that has a high fever and doesn't want to wake up. They've taken her to a hospital yesterday and I've just learned that they are transferring her to a children's hospital because she's not responding and she's still not waking up (I'm not certain if she's like comotose or just wanting to keep sleeping. I just received this email from a friend and I'm asking for prayers for my friend's daughter, Lauren. I just got off the phone with my husband. Two doctors came in to speak to him and said the initial cytology reports on the fluid removed from Laurie's lung a few days ago showed cancer. Freepers, I have an emergancy prayer request for 8 year old Lucas who is my friend's nephew. He was diagnosed with a large brain tumor this weekend. The tumor is so large that the doctors are expiditing the schedule of his surgery. He is going in TODAY for brain surgery to remove the tumor.

When it rains it pours. Two weeks ago my dad (69) was diagnosed with prostate cancer. Today, my wife (43) was diagnosed with colon cancer. We have a four year old daughter.

I have written before about one of my close friends and her bout with stage 4 cancer...her name is Cori Scheppe. She is very much fighting for her life as we speak at the moment...Cori was rushed during the night to Dallas Presb. Hospital where she just underwent emergency surgery from a tumor that burst in her intestines. My friend Lawrence this week suffered a stroke....he is suffering numbness on his left side....last night he was operated on in hopes of decreasing the swelling in his brain....his prognosis is unknown..... I know our Father listens to our prayers....we may not always understand how He decides to answer.....but His compassion is evident through our lives and human history.... My mom is in septic shock from kidney issues. She has multiple sclerosis and has been pretty bedbound for a while. Please pray that she has a miracle and pulls through.

My friend's grandson Caleb had a tumor on his kidney,they removed it and his kidney, But it was cancerous and he now starts chemo and radiation tomorrow for 6 to 9 months. The baby is only 6 yrs old. He has sepsis, is on a ventilator, they started dialysis and the infections disease specialist is ordering tests to rule out serious things. He is NOT awake. Not sure why he is so sick.</p>

Please pray for my health. I am suffering from the side effects of fluoroquinolones (includes Avelox, Cipro, and Levaquin) which has caused depression, anxiety, insomnia, and jitteryness. Luckily, I have found a doctor who has treated people for FQ toxicity but the treatment is slow in acting in my system and I am struggling through each day and find it hard to plan anything. As some of you know, we've both been having some health issues. My leg is frequently infected from diabetic wounds on my feet. Arlington police are on the scene at NorthPointe Baptist Church on Brown Boulevard, where at least one person is dead and one is injured. He is 96 years old and we believe he had a stroke. He is in the hospital now. Sometimes he knows us and remembers things like his garden and who we are but most of the time he's off working somewhere(in his mind).

She had a mastectomy some years back. Now her cancer has returned and spread to her liver. Pray that she would have God's peace in her heart for whatever lies ahead.
