Of course, Paige Davis could visit ANYTIME, as long as she wore her hip hugger, low rider leather pants and one size too small blouse, that kind of rides up when she reaches for stuff... but I digress.

The show is great fun to watch, but most of the "makeovers" are cr*p. The obsession with bizarro colored paint, and cheap fabric covering EVERYTHING is a bit odd. And the attempts at "art" usually come up short.

Paper mache, tissue paper and aluminum foil are not suitable artistic mediums.

Pretty much sums up my feelings about the designers. At this point I think about the only room I'd let any of them in would be a redesign of a child's bedroom. But I'm not even sure about letting Doug Hildy or Laurie do those.

Actually, Edward (as well as Laurie) is a born-again Christian. He's an old-fashioned Southern Baptist. While he does act rather gay, he's an acomplished fashion designer. He designs couture wedding dresses and was the behind-the-scenes sewer for the first two seasons. When he's not doing an episode, he's sewing all the slipcovers, window treatments, pillows, etc.

I'm one of the biggest TS fans around. I make my mom tape every episode b/c I don't have cable at school. I've seen every single episode at least two times.

Laurie, Edward and Vern are my favs. I've actually copied several of Laurie's art ideas, and they turned out fabulous! Laurie is the only designer to have an interior design degree. The rest are artisans, except for Hildi, who has a finance background.
I also love Frank! I would love the opportunity to work with him. He's so much fun!

Some of them really try to incorporate what the h/o would like. Others are only interested in what THEY (the designer) wants. Since they are the "designer" they know more than the homeowner (sarcasm). I like a lot of what Frank does. And sometimes what Vern does.
