I have painted with a lot of color...

(I finally made it here)

We use a lot of color. Started out using "jewel tones" a number of years ago and pretty much stick with that. Our kitchen/den has hunter green walls with white cabinets and black/white tile floor (leftover from the previous owners and it needs much help).

I got creative in the boys rooms.

My oldest wanted red, white and blue. So we did white above the chair railing, blue below and trimmed in red. Then I painted stars and stripes on the doors.

We did our youngest's room in fairy tales as a nursery that will translate to a little boys room. I painted periwinkle blue on the ceiling and added stars. Then on the walls I painted a castle in primary colors as well as a clock tower.

When I get to their bathroom, we're going to make it like an underwater scene with fishes and ocean stuff.

Although the Mrs. said I couldn't paint the toilet to look like a treasure chest...

That said, we won't apply for Trading Spaces because of Doug, Hildy and Kia. Plus I've never seen them make any furniture that would be comfortable to sit on.

So true. I'm afraid of Genevieve as well. She's downright loopy! In one episode, she was in roller skates the whole time, scratching up the floors!

Very cool, and I think the bathroom sounds cool!
