Yes, that's the point I've been making over and over. Slavery was Democrat. The Confederacy was Democrat. Segregation was Democrat. And yet, neo-Confederates who, by calling themselves Republicans while praising the Democrats who sought in the Confederacy to defned slavery, import into the GOP the very worst of Democrat heritage.

Yes, that's the point I've been making over and over. Slavery was Democrat. The Confederacy was Democrat. Segregation was Democrat. And yet, neo-Confederates who, by calling themselves Republicans while praising the Democrats who FOUGHT in the Confederacy to DEFEND slavery, import into the GOP the very worst of Democrat heritage.
