Let me confess that like Greta I TOO came close to having a crush on Mark-the-dog-Geragoes, the week Laci's body was found. If I remember correctly he was saying things like "the police should be getting an arrest warrant for Scott Peterson" and on LKL "if SP did this he's a sociopath." It was music to my ears, and his blue eyes were looking dreamy. Now with his betrayal, I feel like a lover scorned!

Scary as it is, I am now starting to think Jeffrey Fieger is hot. I used to hate him!

Seriously, Greta was a hag last night. She's no better than Geragoes. I cannot believe she sat with Sharon Rocha and family on her show last week (they apparently were nice enough to come on), knowing their pain and seeing it up close and personal, and now she is taking up with the hideous SP team. Cold, very cold. She keeps up this crap, bye-bye viewers.

For a brief shining moment, I forgot what a Cobra Geragos was, and gave him a high-five for seeing right thru Scott's alibi's. His hound-dog eyes swayed me for just abit, but I snapped out of it!.. But we are reminded that a cobra always strikes.

As for Greta. She found her glory on Fox, and the viewers who made her number one are NOT the Liberal CNN crowd. She is getting too comfortable with herself and her opinions and is not representing the average FOX fan. Too bad for her.

Am I grinding an axe for Mark Geragos? No. He's a liberal Democrat.

But this was a horrifying crime and I want to see whoever did it executed via an air-tight case. I have no confidence in MPD's work. There were far too many leaks long before Geragos even took on the case.

Do you really believe that the MPD would have let a van go that had "big brown spots" and duct tape in it?

Possibly. It has happened in the past on other cases. I do believe police would inadvertantly do such a thing. They are not perfect and sometimes get fixated on a single person to the exclusion of exculpatory evidence.

Recently there have been convicted murderers freed from death row by reason of DNA that proved them innocent, beyond a doubt, of having committed the murder.

It is the rush to judgement in this case that concerns me. The MPD had zeroed in on Scott Peterson as the most likely suspect within the first 8 hours of their investigation. Any individuals who provided evidence in support of Scott's statements - seeing Laci in the park with their dog, walking the dog along streets or seeing Scott at the Marina - were labeled as unreliable or even worse, as wackos. Later when the bodies of Laci and Connor washed up on the Bay's shore, witnesses at the Marina were suddenly vindicated.

Granted, such eye witnesses can be wrong but of those who saw Laci walking the dog (I've read there are now four) one of these was a three-time elected Modesto City Council member, another a lawyer. They all can't be nuts.

If the MPD isn't careful any conviction can be overturned later if it is found that the police purposefully excluded exculpatory evidence. In that event I believe Scott could not be tried for the same murder twice.

I am not a lawyer and of course don't know if there is any forensic evidence.I am wondering if my strong suspicions of Scott's guilt can be proven beyond a reasonable doubt.

I would think that would be the best way for him to fool anyone! But I get the impression that Chapman stays back east, so I'm not sure how he'd have gotten it to Scott.

Yes, it would be totally stupid, but I think he was probably using the ID of one of his half-brothers whom he knows better than Chapman. Yes, it would be totally stupid, but this is of course Scott-of-the-Missing-Brain-Cells we're talking about.

Yaelle, Greta has gone over to the Dark Side. Pick any reason that has to do with her infatuation with Geragos.

I can't figure out why she went "dark." The only thing that makes sense to me is that she wants these sleazo defense lawyers all over her show. She does provide a lot of Peterson coverage.

Greta, as I recall, had something slightly damning to say about the location of where Chandra Levy was found... Something about Condit that wasn't obsequious... What was it? I know that Greta lives right there near where Chandra was found.

One good thing about Greta, which I noticed today: Her show doesn't do close-ups of Susan Estrich. Or was that Hannity? Whichever show it was did the audience, who on the West Coast is eating dinner, a HUGE favor. Each time I see a close up of Susan Estrich I am forced to sit there and wonder if she could actually swallow her interviewer whole like a snake. It looks so possible.
