Wachowski Brother- Director of ''Matrix Reloaded' [Not the Married One] In Process of Changing Sex
The Hot Button ^ | Week of May 30-June 6 2003 | David Poland

I have been chewing over a very personal story about a very private person who is involved in a very public business and a very successful movie franchise.

To paraphrase a person who is better than I, these are the mometns that define us.

Unforunately these are the momnets that define the entertainment business overall.

Every indication I have that is Larry Wachowski is changing his sex.

Dressing in public as a woman, taking femal hormones and yes having a sex change operation.

You used facts. That's a big mistake. Don't you know that GOD said so?

Next thing you know, people will be pulling out facts to prove that the earth wasn't created in 4004 B.C.

You know, that is the most thoughtful thing I've ever read about transsexuality. I'm still mulling over it.

If transsexuality does have a genetic basis, then it's hard to justify not treating people with this condition with the respect and accomodation that society affords any other disability.

Nevermind the "judge not" part of the book they like to toss at others not of the same mindset.

Ooooo...how incisive of you!

I'm in "shock and awe" of your trenchant observation.

But I always wondered how I'm suppose to decide who should get "pearls" and who shouldn't.

Wanna tell me the substantive difference between your opinion, and that of the average dumbass teenager with all the sophistication and discernment of plate of "s'mores."

Thank you.

I think for the most part it has more of a horomone basis to it than a genetic/chromosome basis to it, except for certain examples.

Now I know why Matrix sucked and could only watch half of it. Didn't even bother w/ the sequel.

All you Matrix fools have bought into an illusion. That these crappy movies actually have some kind of deep message. Such as we're all just mind controlled prisoners of the Matrix ...whooooooo hooooo. These stupid, confused movies can't touch "Total Recall" or either Terminator movie. Or Alien.

Lots of conjecture there Paul. The fact that it's also "politically correct" conjecture doesn't help it's veracity any, either.

Either a person is responsible for their actions, or not. If not, there is no "society."

O'Reilly had a doctor on a couple of nights ago talking about the differences between male and female brains and he was also talking about the testosterone wash.

I can back up my statements with medical facts. How about you?

Hey if you want a deep movie, go watch the Director's Cut of Blade Runner.

No, you can't. Conjecture is no less conjecture when couched in the esoteric language of medicine and bio-science.

"Blade Runner" was another great one. I've seen it so many times I think I would be bored by it now ...with or without director's cut.

In it's day Alien was the best. Huge theatre...big crowd.... great buzz about it and was the 2nd day it was out. I had to look away from the movie screen at times..... I was scared which rarely happens

Go buy the book Future Noir: The Making of Blade Runner by Paul M. Sammon.

If you think that movie was interesting, the story behind it is even more interesting. Also, get a hold of the Blade Runner PC Game (Yes it works under Windows 2000 Pro Service Pack 2). Both of these things are a bit dated, but worth the money.

Isn't it usually the case that transgendered people are gay? However, Larry W. is not gay (2 marriages to women, one which is very recent). So for what reason do we think that he has a 'female brain' and not a 'guy brain.' Do you think these things are purely biological, and not at all psychological, rooted in environmental factors?

For phyical male-to-female, from what I have researched, most of them prefer woman (though that makes them technically gay) and hold some conservative views. Basically, they spend their entire lives doing what is excepted of them and acting the part until they can no longer stand it. At that point, they either seek help or commit suicide.

Or in a nutshell, the actions they take are because of peer-pressure from their parents and from those around them until they can no longer stand it.

Do it. Do I need to post the definition of "conjecture" for you? Show causality or admit you're the sucker born every minute.
