"The Martyrs Improve the Land with Their Blood"
Middle East Media Research Institute ^ | June 03, 2003 | Yasser Arafat

Posted on 06/04/2003 12:09:59 PM PDT by walford

"In the cities of Palestine, in its refugee camps, in its settlements and villages, its plains, its mountains, its groves of trees, and its coasts, over 70,000 martyrs and wounded have fallen defending the homeland's freedom and independence and the places holy to Islam and Christianity. They have blessing and glory. They are among the martyrs and the saints, who are the best friends [of the martyrs] who improve [the land] with their blood for the sake of independence and freedom and the establishment of the independent State of Palestine whose capital is Jerusalem, if Allah wills it, they will 'enter the mosque as they had entered it the first time;' Allah never fails in His promise.'"

And President Bush and our State Department naturally have no interest in the gory details of why the Palestinians prefer death to life.

Well, keep it up! You Palies can grow TV sets if enough of you make the big move to martyrdom. Incidentally, the term martyr is named for an early Christian theologian Justin Martyr who was killed for Christian beliefs. No tittie bars like Mo-Hammed Atta had prior to becoming just another dead asshole in HELL!

Well, at least his use of "homeland" is appropriate. Another villanous fellow I've heard about liked that word, back in '39.

Frodo: Actually, Ringo Starr's double is originally from Egypt.

Ernest: Rather that repost a 1600-word document, I prefer to leave it where it is. Also the webhost where the source document can see who is looking at their material. This particular source is an Mid-Eastern media watch organization that may be interested to know that Freepers are checking them out.

Consider it to be mutual support as well as professional courtesy. If the article was owned by those liberal publications you mentioned, I wouldn't care to be so courteous.

For some reason our media showed no interest in publishing this speech.

Because they can't grasp the concept of pure evil so rather than confronting it head-on, they prefer to deny it exists.

"The Martyrs Improve the Land with Their Blood"

Gee, does that mean it will be PERFECT in Palistine if ALL the Palistinians are DEAD???

Arafat is right, let's all support him!

MARTYRDOM for ALL Palistinians that do not want to live in peace!

And for the rest of them, let's join hands and make the Middle East a Garden of Eden for all to enjoy!

See my essay: The Arab/Israeli Conflict

The U.S. State Department has been repeatedly questioned why it is acceptable for the U.S. to target Osama bin Laden with smart bombs and ‘provocative’ for Israel to do the same to terrorists who are known to be responsible for killing civilians there.

I had no idea the Moslems had killed that many Christians...

For some reason our media showed no interest in publishing this speech.

I can help you there. It is because if it's not reported on BBC and CNN, it never happened.
