  The Poor Democrats

Before Bill Clinton confessed, Hillary blamed a "right-wing conspiracy" for all the sex talk about her husband, the president. Now the chatter is back and so is the conspiracy. Only this time the driving force isn't the "right wing" or the so-called mainstream media. It's the Clintons themselves.

PITY THE POOR DEMOCRATS, especially the ones running for president. They want politics these days to focus on questions such as: where are the weapons of mass destruction George W. Bush told us about? Where are the child-care credits everyone is supposed to get? But the media wants to ask different questions: what do you think of what Hillary Clinton writes in her new autobiography? Do you believe her version? What will Bill's book (out next year) be like? Does this mean Hillary is running for president in 2004 or 2008?

Good article. The Clinton's could care less about the DemonRats;; they're entirely focussed on sucking up all the oxygen in the room.

The publisher is scheduling Bill Clinton's book for release during the '04 campaign, in an attempt, I think, to bring the focus back on the DemonRats, but the plan is destined to suck the wind out of the sails of whoever the Rat candidate is ......This is really funny! The Rats must hate and detest the Clintoons.

As others have pointed out, if Hillary is to seek the Presidency in 2008, it is not in her best interests for a Democrat to win in 2004 (and go for re-election in 2008). So Hillary (and Bill) will either:

A) Run in 2004 after the Dem candiates embarassment themselves.
B) Work hard to ensure President George W. Bush's re-election.

That's what they are doing right now, but I doubt that it is on purpose. Bill Klinton cannot think about anybody else. With him, it's "all about me". And it will always be all about him as long as he is alive. I really believe that the more he brings attention to himself, the more it will help us. Keep it up Bill!

Hillary maving moves so that if Bush were to start
to tumble in the polls she could jump in still
win the Democratic nod with no problem
and if Bush does not tumble in next few months
then she will want a Democrat defeat in 2004.

I have a feeling that Hillary will run in "04"...Here's why, their polling data shows her as the front runner to win the Democrat nomination, if she sits out there is a very good chance Rudy will hand her a humiliating defeat in "06". So rather than risk it all why not take the nomination and become head of the party, make a run and either have a strong showing or win it all (God forbid). If she takes the nod in "04" and loses, with respect, she will have a much better chance for re-election in "06" and "will be" the Democrat Presidential nominee for "08". IMHO!

It’s a Cash-In world, the more embarrassing the turpitude the better for paddling up Amazon.

I nominate that line for a Pullitzer.

Should Hillary run in '04 she would likely lose. Her ego would not permit her to be branded with the trm loser. Look for a run in '08 instead.
