WAIT! WAIT! WAIT! What about DIVERSITY! Isn't THAT more important to the Times than accuracy? Isn't that what they've hinted?

So how is it that the Times can fire one black guy and let another one resign? These were the ones who broke the lily-white color barrier at NYT.

Jesse Jackson should be there to DEMAND that blacks be included in the hiring process for a permanent replacement. Otherwise, they're just a bunch of racist crackers who won't tolerate anyone in their little club that doesn't look like they do.

Personally, I think they ought to replace Howell Raines with Claude Raines. At least he knew how to make himself invisible...
