Berlin: A tenant had to leave his home because he flew the Israeli flag (Translation)
Israel Army Radio ^ | June 5, 2003 | Yigal Avidan, Germany

Posted on 06/05/2003 12:39:58 PM PDT by yonif

Translation by me from Hebrew to English,

In Berlin, a tenant had to clear his rented apartment out after he flew the Israeli flag on his apartments roof. He decided to rather leave his apartment after the owner demanded he removed the flag, due to complaints of the tenants and the spraying of the building with anti-Israel grafitti.

The owner said that the flying of the flag threatens the safety of the tenants. The man, Ralph Shroder, said that he flew the flag cause he wanted to express solidarity with his friends in Israel.

I don´t say that suicide bombings and destructions of houses etc are morally equal. I just say that I don´t differentiate between these forms of escalation (because I´m tired of that too). That´s why I blame both sides for the escalation of conflict.

The problem is not escalation from the Israelis, the problem IMO is that the Arabs seem to see compassion and compromise as weakness. Their religion tells them they can sign a non-agression treaty but they only have to honor it until they are strong enough to kill or force convert those on the other side of the table.

Usually, you can narrow it down just to either 1) plain old Jew-hating, 2) wacky conspiracy theories, or 3) radical left (or right) ideologue.

I believe you've just described the majority of content posted at Liberty Forum, home to many ex and current Freepers.

Would you call me an anti-semit or a radical left?

You take the side of the so called Palestinians who have sworn to destroy Israel and who, with the financial support of the 22 arab nations(who surround them and have fought five wars to destroy them since the U.N. declared them a nation in 1948), still pursue that same vow to push them into the sea.
The jordanian arabs(falsely called Palestinians), who live in the West Bank and Gaza territory (which Israel won back in the 1967 war and must retain for their own safety),
must never be allowed on the east side of the jordan river until the Lord returns; personally, I think they should be put on the other side of the Euphrates somewhere, and that would be best for them and Israel.
The road map is doomed to failure because the arab nations will never recognize Israel as a nation living in the land Almighty God gave to Abraham and to his seed forever. No E.U. power, no U.N. power, no selfish and hateful muslim terrorists, not even President Bush (who I trust and respect but vehemently disagree with concerning the foolish road map (trojan horse) plan), no liberal power groups,no one at all, can move Israel out of the land again. That nation, according to the scriptures of Jesus Christ( Lord and Saviour of them who believe how he was crucified for our sins and rose the third day for our salvation)will be in the hills of Zion and in Jerusalem when he returns to bring peace to the earth. God said so
and you can count on it.
I would guess you are a liberal and if you vote, I believe you would vote for the liberal left candidates, who have successfully been undermining America's constitution and bill of rights for over 40 years now, therefore I believe you are a leftist. Just a guess.

I´ve chosen the side of the innocent. I blame all who spread hate against the other side - all who do so have blood on their hands.

The road map gives peace a chance. A little one, but there is a real chance. And I wish that more people would give peace a chance. The US, EU, UN and Russia combined take pressure on both sides - that can be a success.

I share my opinion on that issue with the majority (probably the large majority) of my countrymen. And I do not vote for left parties in our party system, but for the centre-right CDU party.

There are so many problems, one cannot name them in one sentence. Destruction of hundreds of homes without sentence or any legal permission, razing the airport, which was nothing more than a symbol for the Palestinian strive for independance, destruction of the police stations, etc. That all causes so much hatred and leads to more sucicide bombings.

The road map can be a way out of the vicious circle. Israel did a good decision to say that an independant Palestine is likely, now Palestinians have reason for hope.

I think there must be a complete separation of Jews and Arabs. The one in the eastern part, the others to Gaza and WB.

The legal basis? There is no need for laws. The law is the matter of fact. What do you think was the legal basis for the Poles and Czech to expropriate and expell 15 million of Germans living in Posen, West-, Ostpreußen, Pommern, Sudetenland? 2 million Germans died during the trip with destination W Germany. We had 13 million refugees. And don´t try to say that these Germans were criminals and deserved their fate.

These numbers are a little bit higher than the numbers of Palestinians "refugees" or jewish settlers.

The Poles and Czech going along with the Soviets have made facts. Against the law. Same in MidEast. The Palestinians live in WB and Gaza, the jewish Israelis in the rest of the "country". That´s the way it is, and that´s why there should be the expropriation of the settlers.

Barbaric, but that doesn´t give anybody the right to deny a Palestinian state. The day they have their own state, we can judge on them like we do on other nations. I even can get used to the idea that Palestine will be a de-militarized zone. But that should mean that neither the IDF nor the Arab military can invade it.

History doesn´t matter. Today´s facts matter. Today, Palestinians feel as a people and they´re big enough to be a people. Therefore, they are a people.

You asked why jews cannot live in Palestine?
Because they couldn´t live peaceful there. They hate the Palestinians, and the Palestinians hate them.

Let´s face it: Danzig and Königsberg are no German cities today anymore. Hebron is no jewish city today anymore. The difference between both is, that there was no religious motivated conflict in Danzig and Königsberg, when Germans had to leave.

You refer to the Arab rejectionism to accept the right of Israels existance. Of course, the first thing a Palestinian president, when elected and sworn in, has to announce is, that the neighbour Israel is accepted as a sovereign and independant country and that there is no wish to get the land back. Going along with the peace negotiations, Syria, Lebanon, Saudi-Arabia etc should make peace with Israel and acknowledge the right to exist.

"The road map gives peace a chance. A little one, but there is a real chance. And I wish that more people would give peace a chance. The US, EU, UN and Russia combined take pressure on both sides - that can be a success."

Though I am sure your intentions are good for Israel, peace never comes by chance and must be fought for AND won from those whose hearts and minds are evil, then guarded and protected from those who do not know the ways of peace. Israel must guard and protect their citizens from terrorists and must not allow the arabs to set up a nation so close to their homeland. The road map is a trojan horse in the center of Israel and rewards terrorism and terrorists for murdering Israeli's, a peaceful people dwelling in a hostile land. A piece of paper has never purchased or guaranteed peace and has been used by warmongers to disarm the populace, allowing the aggressor to over run the peace loving citizens.

"I share my opinion on that issue with the majority (probably the large majority) of my countrymen. And I do not vote for left parties in our party system, but for the centre-right CDU party."

Germany is making the same mistakes it made in the early 1930's, pacifists are never peaceful and do not know the ways of peace; I have found that they are generally the most violent people in the world when pushing their agenda of peace. You can see that in their parades, rallies, and
political gatherings; they generally always are violent with the police and destroy properties and steal from the citizens who buy and sell in local communities.
Their is no center party in any nation anywhere; there is only one side and the other. Gray areas are a myth and people who dwell there are deceived; their is only truth and lies. You talk and reason like an American leftist, which can be seen through your postings.
Jesus Christ is the way, the truth, and the life. No one can go to the Father but through him.

"2 million Germans died during the trip with destination W Germany. We had 13 million refugees."

Gremany didn't put these people into permanant refugee camps, and cultivate hatred in them, and turn them into cross-border terrorists and suicide bombers either, to their credit.

"The Palestinians live in WB and Gaza, the jewish Israelis in the rest of the "country". That´s the way it is, and that´s why there should be the expropriation of the settlers."

1.3 million Palestinians live in Israel, 250,000 Jews live in Samaria and Judea, if you want to be technical about it. The truth is, that Israel has as much claim to the Samaria and Judea as anyone - More so than the Palestinians, in fact.

Israel is a tiny country, and while 22 of it's neighbors (soon to be 23 , unfortunantely) have been trying to destroy it for 55 years, it can't give up strategic depth for promised peace when such promises have fallen flat in the past, and when those countries don't even recognize it's existance. For that matter, abu Mazen demands a Palestinian state, but refuses to admit that Israel is a Jewish state. Your solution might sound fair to you prima facie, but under the surface it's a lie. Israel can't make peace with JUST the Palestinians Authority while the other Arab nations continue to sponsor terrorism against Israel launched from future Palesine.

Houses destroyed were

1) used for mortar, machine gun, or other attack
2) conceal tunnels, as in Rafah, Gaza, used for smuggline weapons, people, drugs, counterfeit money
3) belong to suicide bombers or other terrorists
4) built illegally on public or private land with no deed or permit

Thats one thing the German press misrepresents.

I think it's pathetic that the EU crows more about a crappy airport used to smuggle weapons under diplomatic cover than it ever cared about Jews killed by those weapons.

Unfortunately, the hope that the palestinians in power have is that Israel will withdraw and lose strategic depth, so they can resume suicide bombings and other attacks.

"History doesn´t matter. Today´s facts matter. Today, Palestinians feel as a people and they´re big enough to be a people. Therefore, they are a people."

History doesn't matter, but facts do? I'm confused by what you mean here.

"You asked why jews cannot live in Palestine?
Because they couldn´t live peaceful there. They hate the Palestinians, and the Palestinians hate them. "

Using your logic, the Palestinians live even less peacefully there, so it's really them who should go, right?

"You refer to the Arab rejectionism to accept the right of Israels existance. Of course, the first thing a Palestinian president, when elected and sworn in, has to announce is, that the neighbour Israel is accepted as a sovereign and independant country and that there is no wish to get the land back."

LOL he couldn't even do this with Bush breathing down his neck!!!! He can't even SAY THE WORDS and Israel is supposed to relocate 250,000 people??? what a joke.

"Going along with the peace negotiations, Syria, Lebanon, Saudi-Arabia etc should make peace with Israel and acknowledge the right to exist."

Shouldnt this be a precondition to build trust? We are talkking about 55 years of Arab rejectionism.

The destruction of homes is proving to halt a few homicide bombers as their families will have to accept responsibility for allowing their kids or relative to be a murderer.

The airport and police stations were used to move in munitions and arm more terrorists. If the Palestinians had really wanted their own state and not the destruction of Israel they would have had it back in 2000. But they wish the entire Mideast to be "Judenfrie". Wonder why the Jews aren't insisting Israel be "Arabfrie"?

Besides they have their own "state". In 1948 it was called TransJordon. They took it then still tried to annilate Israel. Up until the early 1950's when the word "Palestinian" was used it referred to Jews. The Palestinian Brigade and the Palestinian Orchestra were Jewish.

Why not the others to Jordon where 95% of the population is originally from the Palestine region.

Look at the original Balfour Mandate, the British gave 90% of the original Jewish State to the Arabs and then prevented Jews from immigrating even while they were being "pogrammed" out of existence in Europe. And all during this time Arabs from all the other Arab states were flooding into the region to get on the UN handout list as "refugees". Did you know that any Arab that spent more than 2 years in the area was considered a "refugee". No other group has this clause defining what is a "refugee".

This is all documented in Joan Peter's book called "From Time Immemorial" published in 1984. She started research on the book to document the Palestinian plight. Seven years later after going to the actual papers and government documents of the time she found the "Palestinian Plight" was actually a "Jewish or Israeli Plight". The British should be ashamed.

They torpedoed the Struma, a ship built in 1867 to hold 100 passengers had nearly 800 Jewish refugees from the German death camps on board. The ship was visible from the shore of Turkey but no one came to help. The two survivors after hospitalization and imprisonment eventually were allowed into Western Palestine through "an act of clemency". This is just one example of what the Jewish people have been having to deal with for far too long. If the Jews ever develope the attitude of the Arab/Islamist terrorist, we best all look out.

There are so many examples like this that I have no sympathy at all for the so-called Palestinian.

Palestine is the land of the Palestinians. They´re in the vast majority. No other way for peace than to get them out of Palestine.

Peace treaties with the Arab states are not a precondition for peace talks. They have nothing to do with the right of existance for Palestine, but with Israels security. Therefore, the treaties should be signed when it´s clear that Palestine will exist soon.

Houses may not be destroyed even when they were owned by suicide bombers. One cannot punish innocent (the family) for crimes of individuals. We said good-bye to collective guilt in the middle-ages. Destroying houses is anything else but necessary. It´s only revenge.

I have spoken today with former Israeli minister Prof. Ammon Rubinstein, he told me that the Israeli Supreme Court has many decisions to make on that topic.

What makes us superior to others is, that we even treat our enemies with respect and acknowledge their rights.
