Grundy County Director of Schools Benny Joe Nunley, 49, was charged yesterday with criminal attempt to commit murder, according to authorities. ''Mr. Nunley has been arrested, and his bond has been set at $20,000,'' said District Attorney General Mike Taylor. The superintendent was taken yesterday afternoon to the Grundy County Jail to be booked. He posted bail about 3:15 p.m., according to jail records.

If I comment what I want to...I get flamed. If I don't, I am severely frustrated. So, who has to suffer here? Guess I will this time. This story about says it all about several things.

Yeah, funny. When some Americans show their true colors, no one is interested. It's always easier to point the finger at someone else.

Perhaps you would explain. My ESP is at the cleaners.

Leon Alligood is the Mr. Feelgood of the Tennessean reporters, why he was given this is a mystery to me, but yesterday the story was that the prosecutor hadn't decided to file charges against Nunley even after charges had been filed for assault against Byers the day the incident happened.
It sounds to me like Byers purposely drove by Nunley's place to torment him and got rewarded with a bit of buckshot; can't say he deserved it though.
Stuff like this reminds me why I hate living here.

So what was Mene Mene reacting to? The whole thing sounds like a non-event to me.

Stuff like this reminds me why I hate living here.I do understand. Each area has populations of people who are unstable. Every state I have lived in I have found that to be true. Grundy County has some special problems that go way beyond the present conflict. Seems like someone told me they run a lot of chop shops there (stolen cars taken apart), but maybe that individual was mistaken.
