I remember a year or two back when he did some interview where he was raving about Bush and Cheney being "crypto-fascists".
Yeah, right. As if Johnny even knows what "crypto-fascist" means. He probably overheard it at one of his trendy, lefty, Hollywood gigs and thought it sounded cool.
I remember reading how he used the term in the interview and thinking, at the time, "it's like he was looking for an opportunity to use this phrase and couldn't resist using it even when it didn't really fit the context".
After that, it was all over. I used to like a few of his movies, but I dumped 'em. I liked "Grosse Point Blank" but refuse to buy it on DVD, now, because of him. I also didn't go see "Identity" because he was in it.
I have a serious "Hollywood Idiot" boycott going on. I've been able to resist going to any movie that stars or co-stars any of the lefty idiots I hate. The only exception I'll make this year is "Return of the King" even though Viggo Mortensen and Andy Serkis are psycho-lefties.
No more of my money is going to support these leftist Hollywood traitors. No more.
Cusack, Robbins, Susan Saranwrap, Ellen Degenerate, Harrison Ford, George Clooney, Janeane Garofalo, Danny Glover, all of them. No more. I check "hollywood-halfwits.com" regularly to see who else I can check off my list.
I hesitantly rented the movie (2 for 1) on DVD. Hesitantly because I really don't care to see Susan Sarandon's adopted son, Tim Robbins in anything (I have the same problem with slime bucket Alec Baldwin). I only watched the commentary track (none of the cast was present).
I didn't care for the DVD much (Repo Man had better commentary) but left it as a possible addition to my library (I had seen it on initial release as a midnight movie and later again on videotape).
Tim's costar in that film is John Cusack.
Won't buy it now. Not even as an unused "clearance" disc at Half Price Books (which is where it resides now).
I can still hear the Swany Modes' (with Sam Moore from Sam and Dave) songs on the original soundtrack album I have.
