I used to dove hunt back in ancient times...on Morgan's farm which was off 49 past Flora to the left right where the hills drop down to all those occasionally flooded bean fields before the Big Black bottom. Mr Morgan had the GMC truck dealership on South State St back then...60s and 70s. We went to the big Bozeman farms hunt too over near what is now all the big Annandale developments off 22.

I have a friend in Jackson who hunts public land on the Big Black....he goes way up in there by boat and then uses waders to go after these trophy swamp bucks. I hear that the Big Black basin now has deer quality to rival Claibourne, Copiah and Warren counties..

The only deer in Annandale now are the two legged kind.
Actually I live north of Bentonia about 4 miles.
There are plenty of big deer around now. Bill Link has a club on Big Black that has a minimum point and spread.
I don’t know the exacts because I can’t afford to hunt there.:>)
