The one thing that always amuses me when people criticize Christians, is that they actually seem to think Christians should be perfect, and seek to damn them if they are not. Then they say something like, Christians always look down on everybody else.

As a matter of fact, the Christians are the ones who understand sin the most. They consider themselves sinners and not worthy of Jesus saving grace. That doesn't stop them from accepting his sacrifice as their salvation and reaching out to others to spread the good word.

There was only one human who lived a sinless life. Criticizing Christians for not being perfect, is like an admission that you know absoutely nothing about what you're talking about. It's sortof like criticizing all red wine because it's not as pure as the white, therefore not as good. It signifies you know nothing about wine.

Christians aren't perfect, they are just saved.

I sometimes wonder what non-Christians think that the Christians are being saved from?. Fun? Laughter? Guilty pleasures? Perhaps everyone needs to understand conviction, before they can truly grasp the depth of the salvation.

If you read the article, you realize two things.

Jesus saves the lost.

Second, that even after salvation, we are still completely unworthy of our salvation... but receive it because of God's love.

By the same token those who don't accept Christ are "losers" as ALL are before accepting Him.

This article fails to make this basic distinction between being a loser and a winner when it comes to destiny.

The Bible teaches us that those who accept Christ are not only winners, they are ROYALTY. The title and gist of this thread is just plain stupid.

Not in God's eyes... God never sees us as losers. The label loser is one that we give ourselves, or allow the world to give us.

I don't know that people really think CHRISTIANS are losers. I think that sometimes it is just so hard living up to the perfect stereotype, that some people try to maintain. Only Christ was perfect... it is good to try to be Christlike, while realizing that we are perfectly human, and fail miserably. Christians aren't perfect, just forgiven.

I wouldn't go quite that far; the point is that losers can benefit from Christianity, but after they do they won't be losers any more.

ALL can benifit from Christianity...there is no distinction between winners and losers before accepting Christ...ALL are losers when it comes to their condition pre-Christ.

Christ calls ALL MEN to repentance. This contrived title of Christians as losers is deceptive. It's stupid. It implies that winners don't need Christ.

Jorge, I know you are a good person period, regardless of our differences. But I can’t help thinking that the author is substituting “losers” for sinners and I don’t think her analogy means winners aren’t sinners. Am I wrong?
