Nightfall celebrated its 11th Anniversary as Southern Arizona's largest Halloween amusement attraction in 2002. During the fall of each year, over 60,000 revelers come to experience the transition of Old Tucson Studios into the haunted town of Nightfall. Since 1991, Nightfall has incrementally grown by adding new features and attractions. Last year, the newest Nightfall feature was the "Scream Zone," a special area with amusement rides for adults and children, located in the Rodeo Arena and near Stage 2. Back by popular demand was the Treat Trail, the only west-side area safe haven 'trick or treat' environment for children ages 12 and under, located in the Silverlake section of the park. Vendors from the community (retailers, associations and charities) participate by distributing Halloween goodies at their festively decorated booths. Several mascots also joined the Treat Trail festivities, including Wilbur the Wildcat (above, left), McGruff the Crime Dog and Boomer Bear from Bear Essential News. Old Tucson! Now this looks like a fun place to visit. Love the rotating graphic with The Duke. Thanks, Jinxie, for the travelogue.
