Er, so you think getting our boys killed everyday is a smarter alternative?

Aren't we supposed to train SOMEONE as security/police? Why not a Free Iraqi Forces? Those people are ideologically pure when it comes to Ba'athism. Let them police their own, they most likely have good connections with all the old rebels.

I don't mind the US playing the dominant role in heavy combat ops, but what the heck are we still manning checkpoints for?
