What's also great about this is that Tim Duncan and David Robinson are such class individuals. Way to go SPURS!!!!!

Congrats to the Spurs especially David Robinson: a true champion on and off the court!

Beautiful. Texas teams whupped up on and knocked out the teams from liberal CA(this is for electing Boxer/Feinswine/Davis/et al) and now they took down liberal NJ's team(I wonder if the NJ Supreme Court will declare the Nets the champs?)

Congrats. I would have been happier if the Nets had won, because I am a Jason Kidd fan back from his days in his East Bay high school. But I'm happy with this outcome because the Lakers didn't win.
Someone, please, get the message: "We Are The Champions" was recorded in the SEVENTIES. It's worn out. Play something timeless and classy -- specifically, Beethoven's Ninth ("Ode to Joy"). It's majestic and stirring, and it hasn't been done to death.
I gotta tell ya, it must be sweet to be Queen guitarist Brian May. He wrote "We Will Rock You," which is played at just about every professional sports event, and "We Are The Champions," which he shares the credit with the band, is played at every title game.

Of course (and unfortunately) we all had to hear the obligatory "We are the Champions" (by Queen) after the final buzzer, but I'm glad the worst NBA finals since I've been watching them - 1970 - is finally over.
Tim Duncan, however, was amazing. ....Two more blocked shots and he would've had a quadruple double.

Well, if it couldn't be my Mavericks at least it went to a class act. Good luck Mr. Robinson, thanks for your service to your country, you deserve the win.
